38aastane hertsoginna meenutas aegu, mil prints William teenis kuninglikus õhuväes ning pere elas Walesis. Nende esikpoeg prints George oli äsja sündinud.

In Cardiff The Duchess of Cambridge joined a baby sensory class at the Ely and Caerau Children’s Centre to hear about the support that parents and staff receive, and to talk about the #5BigQuestions on the Under 5s Survey. The launch of the survey follows eight years of work by The Duchess, in which she has explored how experiences in early childhood often lie at the root of the hardest social challenges the country faces today. "William töötas otsingute- ja päästetiimis ning me tulime siia elama. George oli tibatilluke beebi ja me elasime keset Angleseyd. Tundsin end nii üksikuna, maailmast ära lõigatuna. Mul polnud peret toeks ja William töötas öövahetustes," meenutas Catherine ja lisas: "Oleks mul siis selline keskus olnud!"

Hertsoginna käis Walesis tutvustamas oma uut lapse varajase arengu teemalist küsitlust. Briti emadel-isadel palutakse vastata viiele küsimusele alla viieaastase lapse kohta. Hertsoginna Catherine'i eesmärk on algatada üleriiklikku arutelu uue põlvkonna kasvatamise tähtsamate küsimuste üle.
